Two people died in a traffic accident between Miskolc and Szikszó on Tuesday morning.
According to the available information, an Opel Corsa was heading in the direction of Miskolc on the slope in front of the market when the driver of a Volkswagen Passat coming from the front crossed the double closing line into the opposite lane, where the vehicles collided frontally.
There were two people traveling in Corsa, with only the driver in the Passat at the time of the collision. The Passat driver and the Corsa passenger were killed in the crash.
On the side leading to Szikszó, the affected section of the road was closed to the full width by the police for the duration of the rescue and the scene investigation, the traffic is diverted to Onga and Ongaújfalu, respectively.
The driver of the Corsa was taken to the county hospital with serious injuries. The circumstances of the accident are investigated by the police with the involvement of a technical forensic expert.
